Marilyn Elliott

As VP & CHRO for GroupeSTAHL Human Resources, Marilyn Elliott serves as a key strategic business partner to all North American business units as well as Canada and Nicaragua. Elliott holds responsibility for the development of all HR strategy and the delivery of HR services and programs, serving as a legal consultant on all employment law matters. She has spearheaded many large-scale projects requiring cost-effective and innovative solutions critical to the successful delivery of human resource initiatives. Elliott also oversees Corporate Travel.

Key corporate programs include:

  • GroupeSTAHL Corporate PASSPort to Good Health Wellness Program and award winner recipient of the 2007 Arbor HR Award for its innovation and achieved the Gold Fit-Friendly Worksite award 2012 – 2016, 2017, and 2018 Bronze award for Workplace Health Achievement by the American Heart Association and named the 2016 Best & Brightest in Wellness by Corp! Magazine;
  • STAHLS’ University for Management & Leadership Development focused at Executive Coaching and mid to front-line management and leadership development;
  • Installation of the 360 Safety Program throughout all U.S. companies for compliance and consistency of safety practices yielding significant reductions in work-related incidents, injuries and subsequently workers’ compensation claims;
  • Oversee the design and management of the Corporate Self-Funded Health Care plan for medical, Rx, dental, and vision care resulting in a per employee per year cost running on average of 81.4% of national statistics the past six years;
  • Instituted a Job Analysis Program targeting compensation, talent, and performance management utilizing a new start-up software platform, Constellation HR Performance Management Program;
  • Developed the Corporate Compensation Program;
  • Formerly rolled out the WOW! Customer Service Training Program in partnership with Walsh College Continuing Executive Education when Customer Service reported into Human Resources.

Prior to joining GroupeSTAHL, Elliot spent 18 years holding key management positions—both as Director and Instructor for key health education programs at local community colleges and for a hospital-based program—in health care including the appointment as an Area Director and Board Member for the Great Lakes region for a national home health care organization. She has also held key positions with major organizations in outside sales and human resources in robotics/engineering.

Elliot has been a guest speaker and judge for HR best practices for local human resource, training, and development professional organizations. She is a member of U.S. and Canadian human resources, quality, training, marketing, and management professional organizations.

Elliott holds the distinction of Senior Professional in Human Resources (SPHR) and Society for Human Resource Management’s Senior Certified Professional (SHRM-SCP). She is a graduate of Central Michigan University holding an MSA-Human Resources and BBA-Marketing.

Elliott began her career with GroupeSTAHL in late 1989 to build the Human Resources operation from the ground up. During her first six months, she opted to work closely with STAHLS’ former start-up division, STAHLS’ Special Projects, n/k/a STAHLS’ Hotronix. This is where Elliott learned to build and repair first-generation Hotronix heat presses working in consultation with two engineering PhDs from GMI to resolve state-of-the art technical issues in order to perfect the products and services STAHLS’ customers receive, while learning the business of STAHLS’ and their customers. The rest is history!
